- What happens if I miss the Section 8 deadline?
- PHA suspends the Housing Assistance Payment (abatement) starting the day after the deadline. Rent stops until the unit passes reinspection. Correcting inside the window is the whole game — that's why we mobilize same or next day.
- Which cited items do you correct?
- Every standard item on the report — paint and surface repairs, windows, locks, handrails, detectors, outlets, plumbing leaks, flooring and trip hazards. Anything outside our scope we tell you up front so nothing sits unaddressed past the deadline.
- Do you call the PHA inspector directly?
- Yes. We contact the inspector before quoting when a citation is ambiguous, and we schedule the reinspection with them once the work is complete — so nothing slips through timing.
